Bivio’s Leading Cyber Security and Network Control Solutions
The Bivio family of DPI-based networking systems includes our Continuous Monitoring Solution, DPI Application Platform and Application Services Gateway. These products address a wide range of customer solutions, including network security, monitoring and surveillance, content-based processing, value-added services, and many other DPI-based networking applications.
Bivio Continuous Monitoring Solution
The Bivio’s Continuous Monitoring Solution represents the next generation of monitoring and cyber security network systems. Unlike existing monitoring systems that rely on a single mode of threat detection (such as pattern matching) the Bivio Continuous Monitoring Solution is a multi-function, high-performance network monitoring probe designed to provide the best possible defense against known and unknown attacks, often grouped as “advanced persistent threats”. By aggregating multiple state-of-the-art monitoring engines in a single solution, the Bivio Continuous Monitoring Solution provides a significantly greater threat detection coverage than competing solutions, ensuring superior protection for customers.

Bivio’s DPI Application Platform is a third generation networking system built specifically for DPI applications. The Bivio 7000 enables customers to rapidly deploy both passive and inline wire-speed DPI-based applications and services at speeds of 10Gbps and beyond.
Fully programmable in a standard Linux environment, it combines high-speed networking design elements with powerful compute capabilities to offer an unmatched combination of performance and flexibility. Built-in multi-application support enables co-location of multiple DPI-based applications, while its unique scaling properties ensure that wire-speed performance is maintained regardless of policy, network traffic profile, or complexity of application.
Application Services Gateway (ASG)

Bivio's ASG is the first DPI-based multi-application service platform and represents the next generation service provider subscriber gateway device. It enables service providers, carriers and government agencies to leverage advanced DPI capabilities to implement and deploy DPI-based applications and services.
Unlike traditional service platforms that rely on multiple disparate devices and applications, the ASG provides an integrated software suite of applications and services, bound together by a powerful DPI classification engine. The result is an unparalleled ability to deploy powerful DPI-based multi-application services including traffic management, content-based filtering, processing and billing, managed security, VoIP monitoring, service protection, and others.
Bivio Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) Networking Systems Benefits
Performance: The hallmark of the Bivio’s DPI networking systems is uncompromising performance. Only the Bivio architecture enables any packet handling application to run at wire-speed, at any packet size. Throughput, latency and jitter measurements are at levels traditionally found in specialized hardware designs rather than a flexible general-purpose computing system, making the Bivio solution suitable for the most demanding network environments.
Scalability: In a radical break from traditional general-purpose architectures, the Bivio solutions enable true multi-dimensional scaling utilizing patent-pending scaling technology. By extending the internal backplane between chassis, “stacks” of chassis can be created. Each stack can be configured to scale computational power and/or network processing throughput, while Bivio’s operating system software provides mechanisms for scaling the set of applications the run on the system. This “3D” scaling (computational power, network throughput, and application scalability) enables Bivio to provide wire-speed execution for any packet handling service, at any packet size.
Redundancy & Reliability: Bivio networking systems provide both internal and external redundancy and reliability features. Extensive internal resource parallelization is combined with monitoring and error-recovery in order to ensure the highest levels of reliability and redundancy in both active/active and active/standby modes.
System Management: Bivio systems provide customers with enterprise-level management capabilities, including a full featured command-line interface (CLI), Web-based GUI, SNMP MIBs, out-of-band management ports and serial console ports. Extensibility features provide for rapid integration into existing partner application management systems.
